POC commercial offer · Prepared for MassMailer · massmailer.io

Reach the Salesforce shops that just hit the daily email cap, in the week the pain surfaces.

A 60 day POC built for one thing: prove MassMailer can be sold outbound to Salesforce-using organizations in higher education, associations, nonprofits and franchises, without spending the whole marketing budget on a full-scale launch. Email and LinkedIn run together as one motion at $5,000/mo, timed by the Salesforce signal engine that finds accounts where the cap has just become a real blocker. Optional add-ons: cold calling $2,000/mo (500 dials + warm follow-ups) and event support $2,000/event. Two-tier motion: trial-first for Tier B (volume, PLG), demo-first for Tier A (big-list, sales-assisted).

01

What you get.

POC scope, 60 days, prepayment monthly. One engine, three components.

01 · MEASUREMENT
The Salesforce signal engine runs first, on every account.

Before we write to an account, it clears the Salesforce-usage gate and matches at least one live pain signal (hiring, community complaint, MC/Pardot switch signal, high-audience vertical). MassMailer's thesis stops being a claim and becomes a fact about that account's own stack and pipeline.

02 · OUTREACH
Email + LinkedIn, tier-appropriate.

Both channels reach the Salesforce Admin, marketing-ops lead, and Director of Communications on the group of accounts scored highest by the signal engine. Tier B (SMB-mid Salesforce shops) gets a trial-first ask, PLG-style, driving the 15-day free trial. Tier A (big-list orgs) gets a technical walkthrough with the Admin.

03 · HAND-OVER
Trials on the pipeline. Demos on the calendar. Everything you built stays yours.

Salesforce-verified trial installs routed to your PLG queue same day. Admin-present demos booked directly. Weekly report: deliverability, replies, installs, demos, and which signal drove each. All lists, sequences, sending domains and enriched contacts stay yours at day 60, contract or no contract.

02

TAM and addressable market.

Every layer below is filtered through the hard qualifier: uses Salesforce. Without it, no fit. The addressable market is the intersection of Salesforce customers and high-volume email pain.

LayerSizeSource
Total Salesforce customer base (global) est. 150K+ orgs Salesforce's own annual report, cross-referenced with public customer counts. Directional.
SAM (Salesforce orgs in high-audience verticals: higher-ed, associations, nonprofits, franchises, memberships) est. 8,000 to 15,000 orgs Salesforce-usage detection cross-referenced with vertical directories (HigherEdWeb, ASAE member directory, nonprofit databases, franchise registries). Exact number pinned in week 1.
SOM for this POC (SAM matched to at least one Tier 1 pain signal) est. 1,500 to 3,000 orgs ~20 percent of SAM has a live Tier 1 signal (marketing-ops hire, mass-email job post, MC/Pardot switch chatter, community complaint) in any 60 day window.
Contactable seats in the POC (2 to 3 seats per org) est. 3,000 to 9,000 people Salesforce Admin + Marketing Ops + Director of Communications, enriched, verified, ready to write to.
Intent audience (Salesforce Trailblazer community members who posted about email limits, MC cost, or Pardot pain in last 12 months) est. 5,000 to 10,000 named individuals Community-post scrape on Salesforce Trailblazer, r/salesforce, G2/Capterra reviews of Salesforce email tools. These are literally in-market, publicly, this quarter. Included in the base package's audience-build (see section 05).

By vertical (directional): higher education runs largest by qualified org count (est. ~3,000 US institutions on Salesforce). Associations and nonprofits together run comparable volume with sharper pain (both are cap-forced by donor and member blasts). Franchises and memberships smaller but higher ACV per account. Exact per-vertical TAM is delivered as the first artifact of week 1, before any send goes out.

What this POC does not attempt: non-Salesforce accounts (the hard disqualifier), Fortune 500 enterprises already deep in Marketing Cloud (12+ month switch cycle, wrong POC shape), and orgs under 500 contacts (below the pain threshold). These stay phase-2 conversations after the core motion proves out.

03

Who we write to.

Two tiers, four segments, five seats. The tier split drives the CTA (trial vs demo); the segment split drives the vertical language; the seat list drives who gets the message.

SegmentSeats we write toTier
Higher education
Universities, colleges, community colleges. Student, applicant, alumni comms.

The tier split matters: Tier A gets sales-assisted precision (demo CTA, human touch, one-to-one). Tier B gets PLG-style widenet (trial CTA, install ask, one-to-many). Same signal engine feeds both. The economics of a low-ACV AppExchange app only work if Tier B stays trial-led; the ACV of a big-list org only justifies human touch if the account clears the segment filter.

04

The Salesforce signal engine.

The wedge. Every account clears the Salesforce-usage gate and gets scored against 10 live pain signals. The signal becomes the opening line and the queue-jumping trigger.

STEP 01 · GATE
Salesforce-usage detection on every candidate account.

Multi-source detection: tech-stack data, Salesforce Admin / Marketing Ops hiring history, AppExchange partner mentions, community-post authorship. If the account cannot be confirmed as a Salesforce user, it drops out before enrichment costs a dollar.

STEP 02 · ROLE SIGNALS
Hiring for the exact seats that own the cap.

ATS and LinkedIn scans for open roles naming Salesforce Admin, Marketing Ops, RevOps, Pardot, Marketing Cloud, email deliverability, mass email, or bulk email. The written admission of the problem with a date attached.

STEP 03 · STACK SIGNALS
Salesforce + external ESP, or Salesforce + MC/Pardot.

Accounts running Salesforce alongside Mailchimp / Constant Contact (the kill-the-sync wedge) or on Marketing Cloud / Pardot (the switch-down wedge). Both surface in tech-stack overlap data and job-post language.

STEP 04 · COMMUNITY SIGNALS
Public complaints about the cap or the MC price.

Salesforce Trailblazer threads, r/salesforce posts, G2 and Capterra reviews of Salesforce-native email tools. Anyone who has publicly named the exact pain gets prioritized, with the message referencing what they wrote (respectfully, verbatim, dated).

STEP 05 · VERTICAL SIGNALS
High-audience org × Salesforce cross-reference.

Universities, associations, nonprofits, franchises, memberships. The verticals where audience size makes the cap a real blocker, not a hypothetical limit. Cross-referenced with Salesforce-usage detection.

STEP 06 · SCORING + WRITE
One variant per activated signal, tier-routed.

Every account gets a composite score across the 10 signals. Tier A accounts (score high AND big-list vertical) route to sales-assisted demo copy. Tier B accounts route to trial-first PLG copy. The opening line quotes the specific signal that fired ("your marketing-ops job post mentioning Pardot", not "we help Salesforce shops").

Why this beats generic outbound: most agencies blast every SaaS marketer with "send more email". This engine only writes to Salesforce-confirmed orgs where a specific pain signal fired that week, with an opening line referencing the exact signal. Same volume budget, ten times the relevance.

05

Two more audiences we build.

Beyond the Salesforce signal engine (section 04), two more high-value audiences get built inside the POC. Both plug into the same engine, the same reply queue, and the same weekly report.

Audience A · The Trailblazer community intent audience

Your buyers already discuss the exact pains in public. Scraping and cross-referencing the community turns those discussions into a named, in-market list.

SIGNAL 01 · TRAILBLAZER POSTS
Members who posted about email limits, MC cost, or Pardot pain.

Salesforce Trailblazer community full-text search on "email limit", "mass email", "Marketing Cloud pricing", "Pardot alternative", "Mailchimp Salesforce sync". Every author becomes a named intent-audience contact. Estimated 5,000-10,000 named individuals in the last 12 months.

SIGNAL 02 · APPEXCHANGE REVIEWS
Public reviewers of Salesforce-native email tools.

AppExchange reviews of your category. Reviewers are Salesforce Admins by definition, and their reviews name specific pain points. Small pool, extremely high conviction. Their public review becomes the opening line reference.

SIGNAL 03 · DREAMFORCE + WORLD TOUR
Session attendees of email-adjacent sessions.

Dreamforce agenda scrape for sessions on marketing automation, mass email, MC alternatives, deliverability. Session attendees who signal interest publicly (RSVP, LinkedIn posts, session recording engagement) get prioritized. This is a warm-list layer, not the primary channel.

SIGNAL 04 · G2 CATEGORY REVIEWS
Reviewers of MC, Pardot, Mailchimp, Constant Contact within a Salesforce context.

G2 reviews of your competitive set. Reviewers who mention Salesforce in the review body are almost certainly on Salesforce. Their pain point is publicly written, dated, and specific.

How the intent audience plugs in: every named individual identified through these signals gets flagged in the CRM with the specific signal, and jumps the send queue on both channels. The opening line references the signal directly ("your r/salesforce comment about MC pricing" / "your G2 review of Pardot"). No generic pitch. Included in the base package, no add-on charge.

Audience B · Event attendees

Per-event scrape. Prioritized by geo fit, buyer-persona fit, and whether the attendee data is scrapeable. Priced per event (see section 06), not per attendee. The list you keep either way.

Terms

Prepayment monthly. Base invoiced at the start of each month, work runs after the invoice is paid. Success-fee-free (no % on downstream deals; this is a straight POC retainer).

Meeting floor guarantee. A floor of 5 booked meetings (Tier A) or Salesforce-verified trial installs (Tier B) by end of month 2 (day 60). If we miss, we extend one month at no cost while we rebuild what is not working. Both POC months invoice normally on prepay; the guarantee cost lands on the free extension month.

Post-POC: the $5,000/mo pricing holds as long as the scope holds. No time-based jump at day 60. Adding calling, events, more signal sources, or scaling volume reprices transparently and you decide.

07

What is included.

Detail behind the price. What the $5,000/mo POC actually buys, and what each $2,000 add-on brings on top.

POC PACKAGE · $5,000/mo
Email + LinkedIn as one motion, both tiers, one signal engine.

Infra: dedicated sending domains + managed LinkedIn seats. Mailboxes warmed to safely handle POC volume, SPF/DKIM/DMARC correct, weekly deliverability scan. LinkedIn accounts warmed and paced human.

List: Salesforce-usage-detected orgs across all 5 target segments (section 03). Admin, MOps, Communications and IT seats enriched. Every row shows the signal engine score + which of the 4 intent-audience sources (community, AppExchange, Dreamforce, G2 reviews) tagged it.

Tier routing: Tier A accounts get sales-assisted demo copy, Tier B accounts get trial-first PLG copy. The tier is set by the signal engine automatically; you can override any account manually.

Copy: one variant per activated signal. A Trailblazer poster gets a different opening line from a Pardot job-post admission.

Reply flow: positives routed same day. Trial installs pinged to your PLG queue. Meeting requests to your calendar.

Reporting: weekly. Deliverability + replies + trial installs + demos + which signal and channel drove each.

ADD-ON · CALLING · $2,000/mo
500 cold dials/mo + warm dials on positive replies.

Cold volume: 500 dials per month, weighted toward Tier A Salesforce Admin and Marketing Ops leaders where the deal size justifies the touch. Drawn from the same signal-triggered list Email + LinkedIn run against. No random dialing.

Warm follow-ups: every positive email or LinkedIn reply gets a call the same day, before the conversation goes cold. The reply is the permission, the call is the accelerator.

Setup: local US caller-ID, call recording where lawful, call notes logged against the account, meetings booked straight into the calendar of the reply owner you nominate.

Reporting: dials, connect rate, positive replies, meetings booked, folded into the same weekly report as email and LinkedIn.

Runs alongside the POC package. Not sold standalone; the volume math only works when it dials a live signal list.

ADD-ON · EVENTS · $2,000/event
Full pre-event motion, per event booked.

Attendee scrape: the full attendee list built from the event's networking platform (Salesforce Events, Cvent, ASAE member directory, HigherEdWeb registry, etc. depending on event) before the event opens.

Exhibitor enrichment: every exhibiting company enriched with domain, size band, Salesforce-usage status, and the seats that own email decisions.

ICP scoring: every attendee and exhibitor scored against the 5 target segments in section 03. You walk in with a ranked shortlist, not a directory.

Reach out: personalised email + LinkedIn to the top-scored contacts in the two weeks before the event, referencing the event by name and offering a slot at your booth or a coffee.

Meetings pre-booked: confirmed slots dropped into the calendars of your named attendees before you land.

Post-event: follow-up sequence to every scanned badge and every no-show, within 72 hours of the event closing.

Priced per event, billed on confirmation of the event date. Recommended events in section 05.

08

The 60 day POC plan.

Build weeks 1 to 2. Send from week 3. Scale weeks 4 to 6. Floor check and decision at day 60.

DAYS 1 – 14
Build the list. Wire the signal engine.

Exact TAM per vertical delivered as the first artifact. Salesforce signal engine stood up (usage detection + 5 signal sources wired). Tier A and Tier B accounts split. Sending domains + LinkedIn accounts bought and warmed in parallel. Copy drafted per activated signal + per tier for your sign-off.

DAYS 15 – 30
First signals fire. First sends. First replies.

Signal engine runs against the full Salesforce-gated list. Every account scored and tier-routed. Sends go live on the first cohort (Tier A on precision-timed demos, Tier B on widenet trials). Positive replies route same day. Week 4 review of which signals converted, which tier answered, which seats replied.

DAYS 31 – 45
Scale on what is working. Prep event support if bought.

Volume rebalanced by which signals and which verticals are converting. Signal variants tuned to which variant is winning per tier. If event support was added, Dreamforce or the next Tier 1 event's pre-outreach runs in this window.

DAYS 46 – 60
Floor check. POC report. Decision.

Engine at rhythm on the winning signals, verticals and tier mix. Day 55: POC report delivered with full dataset, contact directory, trial install and demo attribution, and a scale-up recommendation. Day 60 = floor check. Hit floor → you decide to continue month to month, expand scope, or stop. Miss floor → we extend one month at no cost while we rebuild. Every asset stays yours regardless.
